Spanish artist Francisco de Pajaro spotted lots of piles of rubbish lurking around London and, instead of avoiding them like the rest of us, he saw them as a source of inspiration and created street art. He’s used the bin bags themselves as a canvas, turning them into monsters and creepy creatures, with wild expressions and manic grins.
It’s a great way of livening up spots in urban areas that are dirty, neglected dumping grounds. De Pajaro also told Global Art in an interview that it was one of the few legal ways left to create art in a public space, in light of strict graffiti laws introduced in Europe.
Francisco de Pajaro is also showing his work at the West Bank London Gallery.
