Mill’s Meals: Baked French Toast Bagels with Strawberry Sauce

This is episode one of my brand, spanking new format ‘Mill’s Meals With’. It’s self-explanatory really but in case not, the idea works like this: I get a guest on, cook my take on their favourite dish and lightly grill them in the process. My first guest is Hip Hop DJ and London party promoter Spin Doctor who has a penchant for big breakfasts and cheese so, I included them both with this recipe: Baked French Toast Bagels with Strawberry Sauce served with Mascarpone Cheese and fresh mint. As always, this is easy to do, won’t break the bank and is an incredibly indulgent breakfast or lazy Sunday brunch.

Ingredients:
- 5 assorted bagels
- 5 large eggs
- 400ml milk (semi-skimmed is fine)
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 85g caster sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (plus more to sprinkle on top)
- 200g fresh strawberries
- 3 tbsp caster sugar
- Serve with a spoonful of mascarpone and a sprig of fresh mint
