In November of 2010 the first ‘Be Linen’ movie captured our eye. It was a short docu-film detailing how linen is made from root to cloth and although straightforward in its delivery and meaning at face value, it had a profoundly touching feel to it.
The second in Benoit Millot‘s ‘Be Linen‘ movie compilation is equally exquisite. The idea that nature teaches us many things is not new to the regular readers of this site, biomimicry is a strand of science that ourselves and our partners hold in high regard. For nature has a way of being more hi-tech than human creation has been and, although linen is not groundbreaking in terms of scientific discovery, its complex structure and incredible performance make for a very special material.
